TV Actor Vikas Sethi Dies at 48 Following Cardiac Arrest
Mumbai, India – Actor Vikas Sethi, known for his roles in popular TV shows such as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasautii Zindagi Kay, and Kahiin To Hoga, passed away at the age of 48. Sethi suffered a cardiac arrest while sleeping in the early hours of September 8 and was rushed to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai, where he was pronounced dead.
Sethi gained popularity for his role as Robbie in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), where he played a potential love interest for actor Kareena Kapoor Khan. He leaves behind his wife, Janhvi Sethi, and their twin sons.
The entertainment industry has been left shocked by the news of his passing. Actor Delnaaz Irani, who recently worked with Sethi on an ad, expressed her disbelief. “We collaborated on ‘Zara Nachke Dikha’ in 2008.” Vikas was a wonderful, warm person, such a good dancer. Life is unpredictable,” she said.
Actor Hiten Tejwani, who worked with Sethi on Kasautii Zindagi Kay and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, remembered him fondly. He was known as a ‘yaaron ka yaar,’ always present and supportive for his peers. We’d hang out after work; he was always in high spirits and great company,” Tejwani shared.
Sethi’s sudden passing leaves a void in the television industry, where he was admired for his talent and warm personality.
